About Mrs. Steedly I am so excited to begin another year of teaching at North Ward Elementary school. This is the start of my fifth year of my teaching career. I taught my first year in first grade at Geff Grade School in Southern Illinois and I'm thrilled to continue teaching first grade here at North Ward.
My husband and I welcomed our sweet baby girl, Lucy into the world this July. She is a doll and I know you'll hear lots about her during the school year. We also have a dog named Cooper who is super friendly. I grew up in Flora, Illinois with one sister and three brothers. Growing up in a large family was so much fun, especially when our dad is the boy's basketball coach at FHS in my hometown. I love the game of basketball and enjoy playing and watching volleyball as well. I am looking forward to getting to know the class and can't wait to learn lots throughout the school year with my first graders! |
Educational Background |
After I graduated from high school I attended Eastern Illinois University. I then graduated from EIU with a Bachelor's of Science in Education in December of 2014. While I attended EIU I was a member of the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program in which I was given extended training and preparation to become an educator.
